< 1 MIN READ

United Way East Ontario through its Nominating Committee, is recruiting nominees for its Board of Directors.

The Nominating Committee is looking for candidates who can offer leadership, insight and show commitment to pursuing United Way’s goals of making measurable impact in the community. Nominees must have strong leadership skills, be knowledgeable of the community and of United Way. A Board member is also expected to contribute to United Way’s annual campaign, to attend and participate in board meetings, events and activities as well as participate in committee work of the Board.

Each year the Nominating Committee reviews the structure, composition and balance of skills and experience of the Board. The Committee seeks qualified candidates to put their names forward for nomination with a view of aspiring to a Board that is reflective of the community it serves.

United Way East Ontario welcomes nominations any time before August 28, 2020 for the Committee’s consideration. However, to ensure that every nominee receives full consideration, we encourage you to submit nominations as soon as possible.

All nominations must be supported by five members* of United Way East Ontario, contain the written consent of each nominee, and be sent to the President and CEO, as secretary of the nominations process.
