Volunteer opportunities

When you become a volunteer, you create meaningful and lasting local change.

Whether you’re interested in gaining employment skills, sharing your area of expertise or just want to spend more time supporting your community, we can find the perfect way for you to get involved.

Ways to volunteer

Professional committees

Along with our Board of Directors, we rely on the expertise of corporate executives, government officials, and community stakeholders to advise and guide our work. We have volunteer committees in the areas of governance, marketing and communications, community impact, resource development, finance, and other corporate services.

Care Kits for Women Dealing with Gender-Based Violence

Our Spring 2022 community project, Care Kits for Women Dealing with Gender-Based Violence, is a safe way for individuals and groups to volunteer and actively contribute to the community.

Help us reach our goal of collecting 300 care kits for women and non-binary individuals in need across Ottawa and the counties of Renfrew, Prescott-Russell and Lanark.

United Way East Ontario is working to engage new mentors and career coaches to help vulnerable youth, newcomers, youth with disabilities and more.

Campaign Leads

Every year thousands of workplaces across our region partner with us. These campaigns rely on employees who generously offer their time and talent to make them a success.
