A swinging success: Tee Up for Change 2025 Golf Tournament raises $76,070

5 MIN READ

United Way East Ontario’s annual Tee Up for Change golf tournament brought together local changemakers for a day filled with camaraderie, competition, and most importantly, community impact. This year, we are thrilled to announce that the event raised an incredible $76,070, which will directly support vital services for vulnerable individuals and families across Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark, and Renfrew Counties.

Held at The Marshes Golf Club, Tee Up for Change was more than just a day on the green—it was a powerful demonstration of what can be achieved when our community comes together with a common goal. Participants enjoyed a day of friendly competition, networking, and shared commitment to improving the lives of those in need.

"Your participation today is helping us break down barriers, create opportunities, and improve the lives of the most vulnerable people in our region. We aren’t able to do it on our own—it takes commitment and collaboration, and all of us working together to make a lasting impact. United, we can make tomorrow brighter for those who need us most."

This year’s golf event was full of fun and excitement! Attendees unlocked locks symbolizing barriers in our region, showing how their support helps break them down. PiiComm brought a pro golfer who challenged players to beat them by finishing the hole in fewer strokes. Along with frisbee golf, a hole-in-one chance, trivia, mini cocktails, and drone-delivered drinks, it was a day full of great memories and community spirit.

Thank you to our sponsors

This tournament would not have been possible without the support of our Title Sponsor, PiiComm and Lead Sponsor, Azure Urban Developments.

"PiiComm continues to sponsor ‘Tee Up for Change’ because United Way East Ontario's unwavering commitment to making a 100% local impact—right in the neighbourhoods we call home–aligns perfectly with the company’s values. PiiComm is a proud Canadian company and a proud member of East Ontario."

We’re incredibly grateful to our sponsors and supporters whose generosity brought this event life. Your contributions made the day both fun and impactful—and more importantly, they enable United Way East Ontario to continue supporting programs that assist vulnerable populations across our region.

Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, and volunteered. Together, we are making a real difference in the lives of so many in our region.

“As developers, we build more than housing—we build communities. Whether creating homes or supporting local schools, healthcare centres, and foodbanks, we’re committed to being active members of these communities. It’s about making real connections and giving back in meaningful ways, a responsibility we take very seriously.”

The impact of your support

The funds raised will support United Way’s work to tackle the toughest social challenges facing our communities. Thanks to everyone’s participation, we can help provide essential services like mental health counselling, after-school programs for youth, emergency housing supports, food security for those who need it most, and so much more.

“More people across our region need services, as we continue to live through an affordability crisis. Many of our social service partners are struggling not only to keep up with demand, but to retain their staff and volunteers who are overworked and often suffering from burnout. We want to ensure everyone has the same opportunity to thrive.”

In the face of rising costs and increasing mental health challenges, this support brings hope to people across our region.

Looking ahead

As we celebrate the success of this year’s Tee Up for Change, we’re already looking forward to next year’s event. More than just a fundraiser, the tournament has become a yearly gathering of changemakers who are passionate about making a lasting impact in our communities. We hope to see everyone again next year as we continue this tradition of community, collaboration, and giving back.

Thank you to all our sponsors who helped make this wonderful tournament possible!
