Conquering local issues
Situated along the banks of the Ottawa River, from Voyageur Provincial Park all the way to Clarence-Rockland, the region of Prescott-Russell is made up of more than 2,000 square kilometres of stunning natural beauty and bustling waterfront communities. Our region is known for its Franco-Ontarian culture, rich agricultural heritage and outdoor lifestyle.
The Prescott-Russell office of United Way East Ontario works with 16 partner agencies to strengthen the social fabric of our region. Our efforts to create opportunities for people in need include supporting local programs and services that:
- Provide children and youth with the tools needed to succeed in school and life
- Offer mental health and/or addictions support to those who are struggling
- Enable vulnerable seniors’ sense of independence and belonging to the community
