The demand for vital services is at an all-time high. Trouble accessing these services has made chronic issues like mental health, isolation, and urgency for basic needs much worse.
Groceries are more expensive, with fewer choices for those living on low income. Lack of transportation makes it difficult to get to a grocery store, to medical appointments or social activities. Distance can make people feel extremely disconnected.
When you give to United Way, your generous gift will:
- Increase access to rural after-school programs for kids, and day programs for seniors.
- Expand mental health and crisis counselling for people in need.
- Improve access to transportation, healthy food, basic needs, and utilities relief.
Everyone deserves the chance to reach their full potential—no matter where they live.

Although the pandemic no longer feels like an urgent crisis, we cannot deny the ongoing challenges it brought to communities across Prescott-Russell, Ottawa, Lanark County, and Renfrew County. United Way East Ontario knows what the most immediate needs are, and each day, we work with our partners and supporters to have the greatest impact.
