Shop and Donate Local Program
In partnership with local businesses, we strive to make change happen, break down barriers, and improve lives every day.
Looking for a way to give back and show your dedication to your community?
By participating in the Shop and Donate Local program, your customers will know you care about the people who live in your neighbourhood and our communities. When your customers shop, dine or visit your business, they are contributing to building a strong, healthier, and safer community for all of us.
It’s more important than ever to support local and show some local love for our communities’ most vulnerable people.
When you sign up, here is what you can expect:
- An opportunity to be a part of a collective group of small business owners dedicated to making a local impact!
- Host one of our point-of-sale donation units (TipTaps logo) to collect money for those most vulnerable in our community.
- We'll supply you marketing material for in store promotion and a social media kit.
- Your business will be featured on our Shop and Donate Local webpage.
- We will stay in touch by providing report back on the collective impact you have made to help make measurable, lasting change in our region.
Special thanks to all of these amazing brands supporting this initiative
Tip Tap point-of-sale donation.
We provide the TipTap, touchless payment devices to your business, making it easy for both you and your customers. The unit can be used at your cash or at an event to help simplify the donation process, no need to handle any cash, and there are no apps required.
- The TipTap device can be plugged in, or battery operated and should be charged overnight.
- The units are secure and encrypted and only the details of the financial transaction are tracked, no customer information is shared, unless they opt into communications directly with United Way East Ontario.
- We have several options for devices: countertop, lanyards and stands with fixed donations amounts ranging from $2, $5, $10 to $20 per tap.
