How you make a difference
The funds you raise as part of the Beau’s Oktoberfest Virtual Ride will help youth like Ciizzy find a safe place to call home.
While COVID-19 made it hard for Ciizzy to find a place to stay after she was kicked out of her home, United Way and Youth Services Bureau helped her find housing and a fresh start.
Together with your support, we can provide more youth with opportunities to build a brighter future.
Thank you to our generous sponsors and partners

Subject: Support me as I ride for vulnerable youth
Hi <INSERT NAME>,
This year, I’m participating in Beau’s Oktoberfest Virtual Ride in support of United Way.
My goal is to raise <INSERT FUNDRAISING GOAL AMOUNT>, and I’d love your support to help me get there.
Your donation will help fund programs and initiatives that provide local youth experiencing homelessness with the education, personal, and employment supports they need to ease the transition to a more secure, permanent home.
By supporting United Way, we’re able to get to the root of the issue and create long-term solutions that end youth homelessness for good. This not only shuts the door to chronic adult homelessness—it saves lives.
With your support, we can create opportunities for youth to build a more stable life.
I hope you can support me today and help make a difference.

Thank you!
Raise $100 or more and help create a brighter future for local youth.
When you’re fundraising, share the impact you make possible by giving to United Way! Your donations will provide local youth facing homelessness with the education, personal, and employment supports they need to build a more stable life.
Make a donation yourself: Give $20 to get things started. Now you only need to ask 5 more people to help you reach your goal.
Family: Brother, sister, mom, or dad. Tell them why you care about supporting youth in our communities and ask at least one of them for a $30 donation to show their support. You never know, they might donate more!
Friends: Ask your friends if they can join in. Could they give you $20 to help you reach your goal?
Co-workers: Ask one co-worker to help support your goal by donating $10.
Neighbours: Ask two of your neighbours for a $10 donation each.
