Sean McKenny has been the President of the Ottawa and District Labour Council since 2004. He is passionate and understands the importance and value of labour and community working closely together.

Dating back to 1872, the Ottawa Labour Council is one of the oldest and largest Labour Councils in the country. It currently has a combined membership of 55,000 working men and women in the city of Ottawa. Sean is also a member of UNITE HERE Local 261 and the Carpenters Union Local 93.

Sean believes that community service and participation continues to weave constructive progressive change, providing a solid base in the city of Ottawa and in other cities across Canada.
