Kim first came to Ottawa as a co-op student from the University of Waterloo. She has worked here for over 25 years in sponsorship, marketing, advertising, communications and special event planning.
Recently, Kim raised over $10 million for Canada’s 150th Anniversary in Ottawa/Ottawa 2017 celebrations, and received two awards:
- GOLD! Best Targeted Sponsor Solicitation Proposal from the International Festivals and Events Assoc., 2016.
- Tourism Deal of the year, awarded to Ottawa 2017 and CIBC, from the Ottawa Chamber of Commerce’s BOB Awards, 2016.
Previous to her current role, Kim worked for The City of Ottawa/Ottawa 2017, Gowlings, Bell Canada, Storgaard & Assoc. (merged with GPC), The National Arts Centre, The National Capital Commission and Parks Canada.
Kim lives in Ottawa with her husband Philippe Lauzon and their 3 children. Her volunteer work includes being a proud Board Member of the United Way Ottawa, and often you can find her and her daughters on the registration desk at the CIBC Run for the Cure.
